Downstem Measuring Guide

All of the stems that Glass Bongs Australia stocks are pre-cut from our suppliers. Although specifications are meticulously measured once received from our suppliers, there may be slight variations between stem sizes due to the hand blown nature of glass.

How to measure your Bong for a Glass Downstem:

STEP 1:

In order to determine the correct length of the stem that you will need for your bong, you will need to use a straight and solid object to insert through the female joint on your Bong. A pencil, pen or a chopstick are recommended for this.

You will want to leave a gap between the measuring object and the bottom of the water chamber of about 2cm to allow for enough space for the water to filter through your stem.

When you have the measuring object at a distance that you like from the base of the water chamber of the Waterpipe, you can go ahead and mark the object at the point of where it exits the Bong through the female joint.

STEP 2:

Now you can remove the measuring object from the Bong. Using a ruler, measure the length of the measuring object from the end that you inserted in to your bong to the mark that you made on it.

Measuring the Length of an Existing Stem:

To measure one of your existing Glass Stems, simply measure from the top of the grinding (the top of the frosted glass where your Cone Piece fits into your Stem) to the bottom of the glass stem (the part that sits in the water of the chamber of your bong).
